Membership Experience
The Sorority’s official graduate Membership Experience (ME) is by invitation only through the local graduate chapters. Membership invitations may not be solicited. For more information regarding membership intake please visit our International website at aka1908.com/membership/prospective-members/.
Membership
Members who have been inactive for over a year and wish to reactivate with the Sigma Iota Omega Chapter should complete the Graduate Chapter Reactivation Form and submit it to our Financial Secretary. The form should be submitted, along with a money order/certified check with all the appropriate reactivation/reinstatement fees, chapter dues, and assessments, where applicable. Meeting Information
Meetings of the Sigma Iota Omega Chapter are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® only. All visiting members must have a photo ID for verification (Driver’s License, Military ID, or ID card) and one of the following:
Original Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® membership card (photo copies are not valid)
Original membership certificate (photo copies are not valid)
